Bluehouse Skis Interview with First Tracks!! Online Media
Monday, September 24th, 2007Recently, Matthew Fatcheric of First Tracks!! Online Media contacted Bluehouse to get the low down on our company:
Salt Lake City, UT - The ski industry has in recent years seen tremendous growth in small boutique ski manufacturers building “customized” skis. They often use specialized designs and innovative materials to build a ski to suit a very specific purpose. Among these niche ski builders are PM Gear, Moment Skis, Praxis, and now Salt Lake City’s Bluehouse Skis. . . read more.
Mounting Update
Monday, September 24th, 2007We’ve really enjoyed meeting many of you at the pickup days this weekend. It’s always nice to be able to associate a name with a face and to enjoy a hot dog or two together. Several people have already mounted their Bluehouse skis, getting antsy for the snow to fall tonight here in Utah.
In a couple cases however, people have noticed that the graphic mounting lines on the skis do not match perfectly (they may be up to 1cm off). As a result we suggest that when having your skis mounted, you ask your ski tech to measure the mount from tip and tail to ensure consistent mounting. Most good techs will already do this, but it never hurts to ask.
Winter is approaching. . . I actually put on a jacket today.

Ski Pickup at Level Nine Sports
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007They arrived in droves, coming in by the thousands with skiing on the brain….well, perhaps I exaggerated a bit about the number but they did arrive with skiing on the brain.
The first night of ski pickup for the locals here in Utah was a good chance to rap with our customers, see how stoked they were and to roast up a few dogs on the barbie. Some grabbed their skis and ran, others hung out for a while talking about powder days to come. I think I even saw someone get misty-eyed as they embraced their Districts, knowing they were one of the lucky ones to get them before they were gone. A huge thanks to those customer who braved the late summer heat and came by Level Nine Sports to pick their skis.
There were more than a few friends of friends who were along for the ride that after seeing the pile of skis in the Bluehouse trailer wished they would have jumped on the bandwagon. It’s not too late to create an account so you can reserve your pair of Districts or just plunk down mom’s credit card and pick yourself up a pair of the MR.

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007Killer Tunes from Park’s Sportsman
Saturday, September 8th, 2007We’ve been trying to think of ways to provide extra value to our customers who participated in the pre-season sale and it finally hit us . . . provide a ski tune far superior to the factory tune that accompanies most new skis. We approached the guys at Park’s Sportsman (644 North State Street in Orem, Utah) to help with the job since they have killer machines and ultra talented shop employees. We’ve got to thank Park’s because they have really hooked-up our customers. You’ve got to love shops like Park’s that are ultra supportive of the skiing community and are willing to support indy companies like us and to host events like the DNA summer rail jam tour.
Thanks Park’s!
