Whats the word on the Districts in the 187 saying flex is Medium/Medium-Soft and the 176 being Medium/Medium Stiff? Are they different in flex? How are they torsionally in comparison to some of the competitors skis and model?
Just want to make an educated purchase tonight or tommarow.

I rode the Shoots prototype last year about 3 days after a decent
sized storm up at Snowbird. I'd been riding Squads (187) and
Capital's El Jefe (184cm) all year so I was used to a stiff ski but
going up to 191cm was something new, especially since I'm 5'8". I
started out on Baldy riding on some wind buffed leftovers from the
storm and was super stoked on how well they responded for a ski that
size on fairly firm snow. It didn't feel like I was riding a 191, in
part because of the early rise. Dropping cliffs was no problem at all
with 128cm and a stiff tail under me. I went into Dalton's Draw and
found an untouched powder stash, which the Shoots tore up without a
problem. The early rise kept the ski on top of the powder but the
stiff tail let me rip down as fast as I wanted. This ski was awesome
on the firm stuff as well as the powder. I was able to straight-line
everything I wanted to without having to worry about stability. It's
a very big ski but if you can handle it I'd definitely recommend it.
I just heard from Shane who has been at our factory picking up some of the new skis. He had a couple of moments and caught me on Gtalk. This is what he had to say about the Mavens

Shane: can't wait to load two ski bags with freshly pressed skis and travel around the world in the next two days!
Kendall: so stoked to hear this..how about the Shoots? Lots of chatter about them

After much anticipation, I finally was able to review the Shoots. Their flex is comparable to the Legend XXL while a bit softer than the BSquad. All around an incredible ski. Charges and takes it to the extreme.
