Boycott Utah?

As many of you may know, Utah has received some bad press lately as a result of certain grassroots efforts of the LDS church to fight the Proposition 8 Constitutional Amendment that recently passed in California making marriage exclusively between a man and woman.  Now certain organizations are calling for a boycott on Utah tourism, including Utah skiing and the Sundance film festival.

When I first read the article located at http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_10927375 I kept waiting for a reference to Bluehouse since we have become so synonomous with Utah skiing (please note the sarcasm).  Anyhow, although I respect the GLBT community mobilizing their efforts, I respectfully disagree with the recent approach to boycott Utah skiing. It's like punishing "peanut butter" for something "grape jelly" did.  Even though the two are somehow inextricably intertwined, they are not one and the same.

On the other hand, boycott of Utah ski tourism means more fresh tracks for me....

I like the PBJ analogy. It

I like the PBJ analogy. It got the job done. haha

No on would have called for

No on would have called for a boycott of rainbows or San Francisco if it had passed. Democracy and free enterprise. God Bless America!

the reason bluehouse has

the reason bluehouse has been kept out of the negative press is most likely because gay or straight, lds or non, californian or normal, everybody likes bluehouse skis! ok, that was pretty corny, i admit.
