Telemark Skis
In years past, Tele skis or Telemark skis constituted their own category of skis in most companies’ lineups. These days, it seems that – if you can put alpine bindings on a ski – you can put a Tele binding on it. Tele skis (also known as Telemark or free heel skis) differ from traditional alpine skis in that the bindings have a free heel. Long before heels were locked down, the original ski bindings were actually Telemark.
