I pretty much had no choice but to become a skier. My Dad strapped a pair of skis on me when I was 2 and gave me a sport that he had no idea would take over my life. He was on ski patrol at Park West in the 1980's. An awesome time for skiing, skin tight ski pants, straight skis, and real mustaches, none of this ironic mustache bullshit "look at me with my funny stache". I have respect for the stache. It's not a toy. It was a great time in my life. I would just cruise around with my Dad and go skiing all day. At the end of the day he would have his 'safety' meetings in the top shack and I would wrestled around with the avy dogs. Then we would shred the last sweep run. I learned how to ski by imitating my Dad. He's has total style and I wouldn't trade it in for all the professional training and coaching in the world. I owe it all to family. My mom rips too. It's a lot of working getting kids up the canyon and in their ski gear. Here's to Lynda and Geoff Cook!

I've been shooting, filming, and competing since 1999. My main focus these days is on photographic imagery. Capturing unique skiing images is a passion. It tells a story about our sport at that particular point in its path. It's a tribute and I feel a responsibility to take these photos. I've been lucky enough to have been published and the feeling of knowing you're going down in history as a participant of such an amazing sport makes all those cold mornings, blown shots, frozen toes, and countless other frustrations worth while. This sport changes peoples lives. It's as cruel as it rewarding. I don't know of any other sport that's as gnarly.

I love skiing and I'll be doing it as long as a can. PC
